Kathy Miller writes...
The Bobolinks have arrived at Orland Grassland.
They were seen in the lower meadow while I was standing on the ridge.
They were chattering and display flying back and forth and landing for
a nice look at them. The Bobolinks were seen on May 13th at 8:45 am.
Many White-crowned sparrows are still here (Goose Lake Twp southeast of Morris, IL) and are enjoying the bird bath. First female N. Oriole of the season came to our Oriole feeder this morning. A male Ruby-throated hummingbird has been visiting the Oriole feeder on occasion. Time to put the hummingbird feeder out! -Bill Morris
